Raj was the Lead Pastor of Toongabbie Anglican Church from 2007 - 2021, before becoming the Senior Pastor at St Paul's Anglican Carlingford and North Rocks. He was the chair of kcc nextgen for almost a decade, one of Australia's largest conferences training people for ministry. More recently he has completed a Doctor of Ministry (leadership concentration) at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School in Chicago. His thesis was "Why do Sydney Anglican Churches struggle to grow beyond 200?". He is the Director of the "Developing Rectors Program," with Moore College's Centre of Ministry Development. The DRP trains new and existing Senior Ministers in leadership.
